Space & Gallery
The colours and ambience of the Wine Café downstairs continue upstairs to the Wine Workshop on the first floor. Another beautiful room with breathtaking views over the river. It’s laid out in such a way to encourage learning in an informal, social environment.
The room is also available for hire as a private function room and makes the perfect setting for meetings, private parties, etc….
The Wine Cafe
We give our wall space over to local artists to exhibit their art which is also available for purchase. Feel free to wander in and browse. The art changes every few months and we host regular Wine & Art evenings to introduce you to the new artists’ work.
If you are interested in exhibiting in our café, please contact Antoinette on 021 2130219
The Wine Workshop
L’Atitude 51 Wine Cafe & Wine Workshop occupies the corner spot at the cross of Union Quay and Anglesea Street overlooking the southern channel of the River Lee and Local Government’s HQ – Cork City Hall. The historic building at 1 Union Quay dates back to the 19th century and has had many guises over the years – its most famous as The Lobby Bar - iconic Cork music venue of the 80’s and 90’s.
We've designed the Wine Café to be a space where you can take time out from your busy schedule and relax and unwind over a coffee, glass of wine or whatever your choice of tipple (we’re fully licenced, so if you fancy something stronger, we’ve got it). Light streams through the large windows that overlook the river – the soft pastel shades reflect the light perfectly, making for a very cosy setting. An enormous blackboard lists a selection of over 50 wines for you to browse at your leisure – we suggest you start at the top and work your way down the list – although we’re not suggesting that you do this in one sitting ... !
